  i'm so happy to see your new letter which i expect for such a long time...i think you r right: now our world is full of lgossip, information, news and “garbage”.  It’s difficult to “turn off” the world outside of us but sometimes we need to do that.
  face to the world,we need filter.it can clean our mind and soul.....
  by the way,i'm a high school student (now in senior 3),and my english is not good.but you r an good example to me.you r my power .and i will study hard in english.i hope my spoken english as good as yours one day.

Hi, David! Wow, so surprised to see you post on this day (my birthday!) What an awesome gift- I actually went to Tai-Da and saw you there on screen, even though I was unable to get inside :( but I'm satisfied.

I thank God that you've seem to come out more from this 'hole' you've been in, and that He's leading you to a clear path. I've been praying for you :) seems like you've gotten a lot thinner, and I've been worried about that, too. It's good that things are the way they are now.

You're such an insightful person, y'know? You're someone I look up to in many aspects, in personality, spirituality, and of course, the musical talent. You're so intelligent.. you learn and grow. You've got your own view on life and on the world today, and you are so right. The world is corrupted, aye? People have such moral and narrow-minded thoughts and they're just so selfish. Especially here in Asia, there's so much gossip about everything, so many people who just care too much. I'm glad you can find your place in a world like this. That's something I look up to! :)

While we're all here curiously and patiently waiting for your album, all I can say is a simple, "加油!"- add oil! Keep praying to the Lord for guidance, stay strong in your faith, and I'm sure you will be successful. Oh, and perhaps, come visit Bethany when you've got a little spare time? :D Thanks for posting!

i haven't the filter of my mail box but i have it in my heart! i am not aware of what’s true or false in my life and what’s around me?  i don't believe anything i read in the papers?  i also don't believe anything our government, teachers and leaders tell you?

I think the world is terrible if it is without you and your music.and you gave me a lot,both your music and thoughts.and the second one is more important to me.you teach me what kind of attitude we should have when facing the difficluty ,how to live more simply , how to enrich our mind.I'm always doubt myself and feel puzzle with my ability ,I can't see my future and fear my dreams can't come true.it is you that give me courage,and see some light from the dark.and you also will puzzle,upset,but I know you are firm and strong and never give up easily,that's what I should learn from u.
more words I want to say but,my english is limited...maybe someday I could speak english very well,then I talk to you,we could chat about some ideas and thoughts.

I am glad to see your feeling about the process of creation. Often times I feel that it isn't so bad when I said that I am alone. Sometimes I am so exhausted to do the boring thing everyday. I feel that we need to do something that is very similiar to clarify the complex problem. I like to cook and I always feel calm when I do it. Thus I can figure out "what's going on?".

Thank you for sharing your feeling to us. It makes me understand you more. I really appreciated that God always clarify my doubts and through your thought and your music.

Hope your music keep supporting us as we always support you. I think this is love. Right?

       今天上课微机课老师留了点时间给我们上网，因为太久没有进“吉吉服”，所以进来看看，刚一进来就看到有david tao 得信，我看到后很惊讶，我不敢相信这是真得，我很高兴也很激动。我看完david写得信后感触很深，有很多想法，
我现在越来越明白我为什么会喜欢陶吉吉了，以前有很多东西不太明白，也不懂，最初得我喜欢张信哲，可是也说不出来是为什么，可是我很清楚我为什么喜欢david tao ，因为是他教会我很多东西，而这些东西事我学不到得，我很感谢david给我们大家带来很多好的作品，我记得david说过他明白自己喜欢John lenno,我也明白我为什么喜欢david是他，让我找到了自己，我开始明白很多事，也学会了很多事，我觉得当你喜欢一个人或者一个东西时，不能只是盲目得去追求。首先，你要知道自己想要什么，需要什么。其实在我支持DT时DT也在无形得用他得音乐来支持我们，用他得音乐来传递他得感情和想法，用他得音乐告诉我How to walk，我无法表达自己此刻得感受But,I want to say David you are my super star in my heart !

你写信给我们是为了share你个人的感想，却竟给我一些启发。这个时候我真的需要这样的启发，谢谢你。好神奇，God must be guiding you, and then you guide me, which is like a butterfly as you sang in your song, which helps me breathe. miracles happen every day, you are a miracle for me, and for all of us who love you. thank you for sharing your thoughts and ideas.
by the way, i'm so glad to know that one of the key elements in your new album is simplicity. i'm looking forward to sharing your ideas through your melodies. that must be perfect!

david在思想上又进步了！！！朴实确是一个很重要的元素，但是以前的创作运用很多技巧也是必要的（这是根基，是必须的），david现在讲的朴实并不等于简单、等于没有技巧，这是一种技巧的升华，跟没有技巧完全出于本能的那种朴实是不同的。不过我有一点跟david不同的意见，那就是音乐还是要听的，其他艺术也要去看、去了解、去欣赏，汲取营养是不能间断的，一直进行的。营养只可能来自两个方面，别人的优秀作品和大自然。汲取的东西越多、积累的越丰富，创作才更有表现力、更丰富、更细腻。
