　　故事发生在1971年的弗吉尼亚州，观看当地高中橄榄球队比赛对于亚历山大市的市民来说是生活不可缺少的一部分。但是当一所黑人中学和一所白人中学被迫合并后，橄榄球队的传统优势遭到考验。布恩(Herman Boone)是一位年轻的黑人教练，刚来校不久，就被任命为威廉姆高中"太阳神队"的主教练。而已有几年执教经验的前任白人主教练比尔(BillYoast)，虽平日战绩不错，在队员中也颇具威信，却成了布恩的助手。

　　当时美国正处在历史上最混乱的时期，黑人要求"取消种族歧视，争取和白人同等公民权利"的呼声日益高涨，各种抗议示威游行此起彼伏。现在改革时机已经成熟，在维吉尼亚州，布恩和比尔可算是改革的先驱人物之一。虽然两者的背景差距悬殊，但是作为搭档，他们一起工作，并逐渐发现除橄榄球之外，还有其他许多共通之处。两人都极富正义感和荣誉感，有很强的职业道德，对工作兢兢业业，一丝不苟。

　　在两位教练的悉心教导下，不仅将一群脾气恶劣、注意力不集中的孩子调教成了一支富有活力、专打胜仗的橄榄球队，而且引导他们成长为富有责任心的年轻人。自从黑白教头并肩作战后，胜利的消息便不断传回亚历山大市。这座曾因种族偏见而遭分裂的城市重新恢复了统一。白人和黑人市民一起分享自己球队胜利带给他们的无穷欢乐，对橄榄球的共同热爱也结成了他们终生的友谊。虽然历史不可能记住象布恩和比尔这些小人物的名字，但是弗吉尼亚人都记住了"太阳神队"(又译巨人队)，因为它是黑白市民的共同骄傲！

　　点评：

　　影片的情节简单，却富有深意。它并不是一部单纯的运动类影片，而是通过一位黑人教练的事迹来反映人类对平等与自由的憧憬。70年代，赫尔曼-布恩(Herman Boone)曾以自己独特的方式为反对种族歧视、调节种族矛盾作出过重要贡献，他也因此被奉为一位黑人英雄。当然相比较马丁-路德金，赫尔曼-布恩并不是一个家喻户晓的名字，时至今日更少会有人记得他。这大概正是该片起名为Remember the Titans的原因吧

這首歌的旋律你一定聽過，英文版的歌名叫做 ‘My way’，其實就是翻唱自這首’Comme d'habitude’。去年上法文課時老師曾有介紹這首歌以及演唱者，我的老師ARNAUD形容Claude François (克勞德˙方思華)就像是法國的高凌風一樣，因為每次他登台演唱，總是光鮮亮麗、動感十足，外加好幾個阿珠阿花在旁邊伴舞，成為他個人的特色。仔細看看，連髮型都跟當年的高凌風很像，搞不好高凌風就是抄襲Claude François的(開玩笑的)。

但這首歌’Comme d'habitude’並不是一首動感舞曲，也不像英文版的‘My way’聽起來像是一首激勵人心的歌曲，反而是一首悲傷的歌。歌詞描寫一個男人因為工作冷落家庭，日復一日枯燥乏味的生活，使得身邊女人離開，男人後悔莫及，卻也只能繼續假裝著兩個人的生活，一如往常。
